I was looking at a dakota for my next truck but money is a big thing so it will have to be a 97 or 98 dakota.I need it to tow a 6x12 enclose trailer.My trailer is about 1400lbs and I put maybe 1500lbs in the trailer on a bad day.So all together I will say it need to tow 3000lbs.I only use my trailer about 20 times a year and it is all in the summer time.

 

2nd generation dakota with a 5.2 should be sufficient

 

Yea I agree. A dak with a 5.2 is good.
