Default P0340 Error

I got a p0340 error on my 98 dakota v6. Is it the same as crankshaft and if not where is the cam position sensor located. the truck still starts and runs but check engine light is on with that code

Cam sensor is under the distributor cap. Parts store will likely call it a 'pick-up coil', even though it has nothing to do with the ignition system.....
