in my 2001 Dakota when I push the unlock button on my key fob it sets the car alarm off, it will honk three times and stop and the truck will still unlock but it is a bit of a problem when I leave for work. I took the horn fuse out and it doesn't do it now but its also illegal to have no horn so would like to fix this problem soonthanks for any help you ca give me.

 

Has it always done this or just start? Have you tried replacing the FOB batteries?

 

In my experience, this usually indicates that the alarm was set off while vehicle was locked. ....
