Default Leaking freeze plugs on 2001 4.7 I bought yesterday

I bought a nice 2001 Dakota yesterday for a good price. Unfortunately it was raining and I didn’t see the leaks under it. Both front freeze plugs on the heads are rusted pretty bad and leaking good. They measure 1 1/4”, the smaller ones on the heads, not the big main ones on the block. Bummer. Any tips on this job? My thoughts are that if these two are rusted through, all the others can’t be far behind. I was thinking of doing the ones now that are obviously leaking and easy to get at and maybe in the spring doing the rest. Pretty sure the engine has to come out for that? As I said above, any thoughts or tips? Seems pretty straightforward, knock out the leaking ones and put in new ones.

If you can see the whole thing, they really aren't that bad. I just poke a screwdriver thru 'em, and pry them out. Use the appropriate sized socket to drive the new ones in. (after cleaning the whole REALLY well, and a tab of RTV around the perimeter of the plug.)

The front ones can be done easily. the side ones require lifting the engine to get to.
