Default ABS, BRAKE light on and no speedometer.

Anyone have this problem with their 2002 dakota with a 4.7? Checked all the diagnostic procedures and everything is within the parameters, wondering if the PCM needs to be reprogrammed. Any info on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same problem on my 1998 Dakota 3.9L. The speedometer did work over about 35, the problem was the ABS/Speed sensor ontop of the rear differential. However, I think the 4.7L's 45rfe has it on the tailshaft of the transmission. Crawl under and see if you have a wire and sensor ontop of the rear differential, if you do, that's likely it.

I replaced that and the vehicle speed sensor and still not working

Might be a wiring problem, see if there's a reference voltage at the rear sensor with a multimeter.

Would be good idea to check for the ABS codes .an any pending regular codes.
High end free rent tool can read it .
