Yep, I'm wounded and my great & loved 2004 Quad Cab with only 178,000 miles, is totaled !

I was driving down a highway and was slowing down to 30 mph for a red stop light when,....wham, a lady hit me going 60 mph.

She hit my my hitch and bumper square, so it the angle was downward. It bent both frame rails down 5", and actually tore both of them !

The bed sags down 6'', and even though our driveway is pretty flat, the hitch hits the street.

Very hard hit. This happened on June 25th,... on my Birthday. And I thought my 10th was bad ! lol....


I went to PT three times per week for 8 weeks. The owner said my whiplash is the worst she had ever seen in her 8 years in business.

There was little else she could do, and directed my to see a spine specialist, so I did.


Nothing much could be done, as the tissues all around C6 and C7 are all torn. So, he preformed a proceedure that burns the nerves. He did this to 6 on my left side and 8 on my right side. I guess you can't use a Novocaine type numbing medication so close the our spinal cord , but he did numb the skin.

I have a thick muscle neck from sports, so pushing his long needles through them hurt like hell, and the burning of the nerves was almost too much pain, but I made it.

Sorry to hear about your truck. Im glad you survived, Radiofrequency Ablation is very painful and pretty much a last resort procedure these days.
I hope you recover fully.
Be extra careful out there, people are way to distracted these days.
Im thinking about getting one of those extra bright flashing brake lights for the trailer hitch.
