Default Looking for Opinions on Exhaust Systems.

Basically, I am looking for any single in - dual out system that will give me a DEEP Rumble at idle and at acceleration with little or No Raspiness...

I have a 5.2 4x4 and want it to sound as mean as possible.

I cant find many sound Clips....Any suggestions?

Thanks

Flowmaster 40 series. I have it on my 4.7 and I love it.

I feel like I've posted that same thing quite a bit lately. ROFL. I just really like my exhaust.

hey daksport1pa;

just want to let you know that i really like your truck......looks AWESOME with the black rims! i have a '00 black dakota sport 4X4 that i am planning on modifying this summer because since i first saw your truck, it has inspired me to make modifications to make it unique. it currently has a glasspack, but like i said, this summer i want to install a k&n 77 series intake, gibson ceramic coated headers, a flowmaster 40 series muffler, and possibly a superchip (if any money is left over).

Thanks a lot man. I'm glad that it inspired you to work on yours. Thats what its all about. We need to keep this hobby going strong. The plans for your truck sound awsome. Keep us updated on your progress.

Thanks to some advice I got here, I just had a Flowmaster Deltaflow 40 installed on my truck and I absolutely love it. It is single in dual out with chrome tips coming out the back corners on an angle. Had never seen this setup before and wanted something different and it looks great. I'll try to post some pictures soon. As far as sound and performance go. It sounds great. No louder at idle inside the cab except for a slight rumble that is greatly pronounce outside the cab. On the throttle it sounds incredible. Very loud outside but very livable inside. I was amazed. With the six speed it sounds absolutely mean everytime I match my revs when I downshift. I haven't turned on my radio since I got it. I couldn't really detect much of a performance gain but I definitely did not lose anything as I was afraid I might. It actually idles smoother now too. Good luck

I'd Like to find something that gets rid of the the Y-pipe ([sm=smiley21.gif] y-pipes)... Anybody know of anything that would be True Dual?? Even with a Side-Exit

I don't believe anyone makes a kit but you could go to a shop and have them make a custom system.
