01 Dodge Dakota 2-3 Hard Shift
So I just had a transmission swapped out and have a couple questions about some issues. The new transmission is having a hard shift on 2-3. The whole truck shakes once and you hear a loud thud. It is a used transmission from a vehicle that was shifting fine. I've already checked fluids and its a bit on the high side but not to a extreme. Should I try to get the fluid exactly on the mark? Could this be something with the TCM not being re-learned? Could it be an issue with the computer at all? I'm having a couple other issues with electronics on the truck so I'm trying to see if they might be related. For example the radio will randomly work and then stop. (I installed it myself so its probably a crappy wiring job.) The window controls will lower the idle RPM when I hold the button after it can't go up or down any further as well. Should I look for a ground point that is not attached proper?
