Default Why does my 4WD "stick" when going back to 2WD?

Really haven't used the 4WD in my truck this year. Tried it out a few weeks back, and it worked fine. After switching back to 2WD, the 4WD seemed to "stick" a bit. I really noticed this when I got up to speed around 40 truck was shaking, front end vibrating etc. Seemed to correct itself after being locally driven. Im having a local guy look at the 4WD but to be honest, I dont trust ANY mechanics here. Any thoughts on this? Thanks guys.
