Default Found hidden rust spot underneath my truck.. Help?

Found a rusted spot under my truck that was previously covered up with muffler tape and undercoat by either the dealership or the guy I bought I off of. Im just wondering how serious of a problem is this and what kind of labor am I looking at to get it fixed. It's the same on the other side too. The back is fine. These were the only rust spot I found on the truck.

Take it to a body shop and get an estimate. Do it soon. It only gets more expensive the longer you let it go.

I'd rather do it myself if possible. Not looking to spend another grand on this truck if I don't have to. Also what's the worst that can happen if it goes unfixed?

Those are body mounts. I kinda like having mine permanently attached to the rest of the truck.....

Have you poked and scraped it to see how bad it actually is. Not an easy place to fix. Its kind of a structural area. Maybe it just surface rust and you can treat with rust bullet or POR15. Start with a good cleaning maybe even get an angle grinder up there to see how bad it is.

Yes I poked and scraped around with a screw driver and most of the bottom and one side of the mount are rusted out. I'm not sure if I'd be able to fix it by just getting some sheet metal and welding it onto the parts that are bad, even though where the actual bolt is mounted seems to still be solid.
Would I have to hoist the entire cab up if I wanted to completely replace them?
