Question 98 Dakota R/T 5.9 ~ RPM's are there but wont accelerate

I was driving it up a mountain pass and all of a sudden it lost power... the engine light came on for a quick moment and hasn't been back on since. I pulled over for 10 minutes and went about my way without issue. It's been in my garage since.... Now when I test drive it.... the RPM's are there but it doesn't want to accelerate.

Transmission is slipping. Is it this way in all gears? Fairly common for the band strut to fall into the pan when it is out of adjustment.

Either lost something in the torque converter/front pump to lose hydraulic pressure, or you burned something up.

If it's the former, it will lead to the latter.
