Default New Dakota wishes

So we've all heard that FCA may be building a new midsize truck to debut in 2022. The Jeep Gladiator is nice, but I would love to see a late model Durango based Dakota. Personally, I think it would sell like hot cakes. Much sexier than Colorado or Ranger. Quad cab of course.

The doors on that look small the big wide doors on the 2nd gen Dakota was one reason I liked the Dakota.

LOLOL. Sad, but probably true........ I am still waiting for OBDIII..... with computers that will BROADCAST things like you vin, current speed, if there are any emissions issues with your vehicle, etc........

And the whole 'a computer runs everything' kick is really problematic. When even your TURN SIGNALS need a friggin' computer to work right, something is wrong. I have no idea why auto manufacturers think that kind of layered complexity is necessary, or even desirable..... especially when their 'troubleshooting' method for problems with the system is to replace parts until it starts working right again..... and the whole TIPM thing? That was just stupid, and now, their customers are paying the price. Failed solder joints, cheap chinese relays, that are not generally user serviceable... Are we now making automobiles/trucks "throwaway" items? Sure starting to look that way......

You ole farts! I still wouldn't mind a Citadel in pickup form. Some things new are better, like gas mileage. I'd still keep this Dakota of mine though. Feels like new and not worth squat with all the miles. It's kind of a game to see how many miles I'll get out of it.
