I was wondering what year they went from 16 tooth CPS to the 32 tooth. The reason I ask is because come to find out I have a dak that was made in 10/02 with a 2001 wire harness with a 32 tooth CPS with a 38 pin lay out for the PCM

 

I thought 00/01/02 was 16 tooth/3 connector JTEC and 03+ was 32 tooth/4 connector NGC.

Maybe it was 00/01 and 02+.

3 connector JTEC should be 3 connectors of 32 pins IIRC
4 connector JTEC should be 4 connectors of 38 pins IIRC

Does it run? Did you just buy it?

Looks like they got 3/4 way through an engine swap and realized they made a royal F'up...

The PDC should be pretty much the same for all years. Only the PCM and engine harness changed.

 

It runs like a top and drives good also when I got it it had a blown motor rebuilt that. I decoded the vin and it says it’s a 03 sport with a v8. All the wiring is intact nothing has been spliced into

 

That's....umm....wild.
