Default Intermitant starting

1996 Dakota V-8 4wd. Suddenly the truck will start and run just fine and other times it just cranks. My wife drove it to work, it sat there for 9 hours and when she tried to start it ..nothing. We pulled it home, the next morning I went out and it started just fine, I drove it all over town..it ran great. This morning I went out it started right up and I drove it ...ran great. This evening after it had been sitting for about5 hours I tried to start it and it just cranked. It has spark. Could this be the Crankshaft position sensor ??

If you are getting spark, the crank position sensor is doing it's job. Are you getting fuel??

well evidently at times it's getting fuel....it's just so sporadic I can't ever check to see if it's getting fuel. It'll prolly start when I go out today .....I am lost...
