Default 1997 Dakota no start help

Hello, I recently purchased a 1997 Dakota 4x4 club cab auto with the v6. Bought it for a farm truck, from a guy who said it ran until his nephew cut the radio harness to install an aftermarket radio. He said it set off the alarm and they never could get it to start after that. Since I got it, I replaced the cut harness with a factory one from the local yard. The truck won’t start. It turns over, but no fire. Test light at the fuel pump plug says no power to pump. I’m open to suggestions. The ECM was replaced by the former owner with an Autozone reman unit. I’ve pulled the door panels, both of the door lock sensor wires have been jumped by someone else. Truck is pre chip key. The previous owner bought it from the original owner, and was told it did not have keyless entry, so no fobs. I’m open to suggestions.....I’ve spent 18 hours with an ohmeter and test light looking for breaks and checking grounds. Thanks in advance.

You will only see power at the fuel pump for about three seconds, unless the PCM sees the engine turning. Coil and injectors are the same, and fed from the same source. (ASD relay) Do you get power even momentarily at any of the three at initial key on?

Start at the ignition switch. Do you get 12 volts there?

If no: Seek the circuit feeding the ignition switch

If yes:

Do you get power and ground at key-up across the ASD relay's position (coil terminals) in the PDC?

If no: Backtrack the wiring from the ignition switch to the PCM

If yes:

If no: Check the ASD relay

If yes:

Do you get 5 volts at the sensors at key-up?

I have the multimeter plugged into the fuel pump plug, so I can literally watch it while I turn the key on. No power in the on or start position. Also appears I do not have spark either. Sorry for the late reply....been dealing with hurricane preparations

Will be the next thing I check. Haven’t had much time to work on it, been dealing with hurricane preparations

Survive the hurricane first, worry about the truck later.

Stay Safe, and Good Luck.

The truck is just a thing of metal, glass and rubber. It may blow away in the wind so make sure your family is safe first. After all, if it's gone it's a moot point anyway.
