Default 2001 Parking Brake Tensioner (part #52009868AF)

The parking brake tensioner broke last evening as I set the parking brake. The OEM part has been discontinued and I cannot find an aftermarket part. Other then a junk yard are there any other suggestions? My research hasn't turned up a suitable replacement. Thank you all in advance for your assistance.

just the junkyard more than likely. And the northern ones will be rusted to bits, probably like yours was (I'm guessing).

Go check out the Dorman replacement part aisle at local parts store (or web site). They have tons of universal parking brake connector/adapter stuff that can probably get you up and going again for couple bucks. Not an OE solution, but better than truck rolling away.

Thank you both. I believe I found an older version of the same part on Amazon. We'll see if it works and I'll post here the part number with the old alpha suffix.
