2002 5.9 with “No bus” on odometer. Most people have a no start but my truck starts. She starts, shifts, and idles just like normal. Has this happened to anyone? Any and all thoughts would be great.
Not really. In most case's the no buss means you have a communication problem with the powertrain control module. Do you have a long crank before the engine starts? You could unplug the TPS,ABS if you have the module and the crank sensor. Also check your connections at the PCM and any pins push in or bent. If the odometer still reads no buss. I would guess the problem is the PCM.

I do not have a long crank. The truck cranks like normal and and starts up perfectly. This happened while I was driving, but the truck did not stall nor die; she ran just like normal. I sent the PCM to a company that rebuilds and reprograms them just in case it was the PCM. After testing it they said there is nothing wrong with the PCM. I ordered a new gauge cluster that had about 25,000 miles on it. After installation the same No Bus error came up and all Information Center lights came on as with the original cluster. Now before all this happened I did get an aftermarket alarm system installed. After some research some people are saying that these type of alarm systems can interfere with the CTM communicating with the gauge cluster.
