I'm going with a cloyes chain kit. I've considered pulling the pan (got an oem gasket for it), but will wait to see what my schedule looks like. Granted though, it's probably 2/3 its weight without the heads

At this point, what's left on what you're doing vs a full rebuild? Not that much, just bearings, rings, oil pump, few other odds and ends, and some machine work. Perhaps it's time to price out a long block and just start with a fresh one.

Realistically not much and starting fresh. Overall I'm doing it this way because I'm not dropping a large wad of cash. I already did an engine swap on my accord earlier this year and I really just dont want play the game of getting another engine. (Timing belt broke there and bent valves)
