i have a 2000 dodge dakota club cab, im wanting to v8 swap it but im not sure on which engine i should swap to, some thoughts or some ideas from anybody would be helpful!!

I'm going to take a lucky guess and says it's the 3.9 V6. But why would the guy who names his handle after the engine, want to swap it to a V8?

 

I can always change his name.

That leaves the "easy" choices as a 5.2, or 5.9 then. Anything else will be a lot more work. With the right tools, enough time/money/determination, you can put anything you want in there.

 

LS swap. Thats what all the cool kids on facebook are doing.

 

You probably won't like my truck when it's done then. It's going to have parts built to do the job, and I plan to pull parts from anything I think will work regardless of who made it.

But, I do have a few other ideas for the OP, including some Dodge options. The really nice things about these 2nd gen trucks, they aren't so over-computerized that you can't swap other things in.
