Question Mystery tube

Hello all, new to the forum. When popping my hood today to investigate a different issue, i noticed a disconnected tube and cannot find anywhere near it where a connection point makes sense. Does anyone know what this is and/or where it connects?? The tube looks to lead towards the bottom of the vehicle. Thanks in advance!

The angle is a bit difficult to tell for sure, but if your truck is a 4X4, I'd say it may be on a hose going down to the front axle assembly. If it is, it's a vent tube.

Ok great, thanks. It is a 4x4 and that seems to be where it is going.

The cap on the end of the line is broken though..... No idea if you can get those any more. Maybe Dorman makes something in their "HELP" section? In any event, just secure it as high up as you can.
