Default New guy intro

Recently bought 02 Dakota R/T with 360 hoping to tap into the vast experience base here. This truck has all the normal issues Red paint that the clearcoat is flaking off. Has 125k and appears to be all original except for an aftermarket Cervini’s hood. looking to get this on the road asap once I’ve done a shakedown on the condition of things. Bought it at auction so no knowledge of its history. More to follow.

Here she is
one other item to post is the plan to build up the engine as a 408 stroker NA initially and then add either a turbo or supercharger once its broke in good. Love to get input from folks on best resources for tuning and engine builds. Thx

Welcome to DF!

Gonna move this to 2nd Gen Dakota section for ya.

If you want to build a motor, pick whether you want forced induction or not, and build for that. Either way, you can get some good power from a 408. But, lots of differences in the build process normally aspirated vs. forced induction.

Get with Ryan Hogan at www.frptuning.com and his Facebook group (Flyin Ryan Discussion Group). There's lots of various style 365 and 408 builds in the group.
