Default Resistor issue

Dreaded resistor popped on me ,a common thing I know.,I

t looks like the 2nd lead had a burn in it..No air on any setting.
2 days after replacing it it popped again.
It has the updated green thicker wire too.
Is this a issue w a short or over current? Maybe this brand is cheaply made?
On another Dodge I had it still operated on high. This one stopped all settings.

Any info is appreciated

Check the grounds for the fan. (I think the switch actually provides ground....) A bad ground will cause excessive heat in the circuit. Might be failing bearings in the motor as well...... Spin it by hand, see what ya think.

Another one ~The harness must have got hot..
I'm hoping the doorman brand an a new connector will help but I could be pulling too much on the blower circuit..its the 2nd wire that's blue.Does that come off fan high or low or does that one go to blower?

I think that's the one going to the blower .

I think I'd check the fan blower. The same wire blowing out just seems too coincidental. Repeated failed resistors is like my rolling over in the morning to find Jennifer Garner next to me. Possible, but not likely.
