Default Auxiliary heater help

I have a blown heater core and am looking for advice or anyone experience with installing an auxiliary heater. I'd rather not pull the dashboard out. If anyone has some brands to reccomend or avoid it would be appreciated. 2000 3.9 quad cab. Electric or engine coolant heater either one just desperate rn.

I don't think you are going to find anything that is going to work even close to the factory stuff does. Sure, you can move the heater core elsewhere, but then, are your defrosters going to work? My guess would be "no".... Bite the bullet, pull the dash.

Correct, I live in Florida, doesn't require much heat here lol... I have an electric heater, amazon, a better quality then one from harbor freight. I do use it on a club cab, better then nothing til I get to my core. It helps but just takes the chill out at 40 plus degrees.....takes a minute. Gotta do the core.....

Thanks guys, I actually got it all sorted. It ended up being a pinhole in the heater hose that was positioned just perfectly so the coolant ran down behind the firewall without splashing or spraying anywhere else. I noticed it steaming on a cold morning as I stopped at the gas pump. Sure glad I didn't find out with the dash pulled out. I put a new core in 2 years ago when I did the evaporator core. I thought I might have done something wrong. Got good heat now.
