Are you saying the battery is showing less than 12V on the gauge? A multimeter should show 13.6V across the battery. If the battery is low, quite a lot of stuff isn't going to work right. If the battery did something to kill the alternator (not sure what happened there from your post) then the battery might need replacing as well.

I'll have to check with a multimeter, i was going off of what the dashboard says. The battery has been replaced after the alternator got fried. So new battery and new alternator.

So alternator amp popped. Got that replaced and battery back to normal. No check guage when headlights are on. Now riddle me this please. I checked all my fuses and they all look fine. But my radio and interior light do not work. Cigarette lighter does tho. Any ideas?

IOD fuse. On the full size trucks, it is cleverly concealed under a little cover in the fuse block, and doesn't look like a fuse.

hey thanks. Looked at the IOD and sure enough blown fuse. Cant say my trucks perfect but its running little better.
