Be careful what you wish for... I wanted a BMW for myself, but ended up getting the wife a 2016 instead. Had it over a year now....

Damn thing has no oil dipstick. You check engine oil electronically thru the iDrive system which means the car has to be warm and running when you check it. ATF level, you don't check it at all... not with a dipstick, not electronically. You'd have to go under the car, pull the fill plug and see if the level is up to the plug hole. Speaking of which, the drain pan and the ATF filter are one. It gets worse. The engine and transmission oil pans are plastic. The drain plugs are plastic too. If I do a coolant flush, I have to bleed air via a procedure done with the electric water pump, initiated from the dash. Replace the battery? I have to go thru a bunch of steps to "register" the new battery. Jacking up the car is an exercise in caution, you have to be very specific, else you screw up the plastic jack points. I'm about to do the diff. A single liter of BMW gear oil = $58.00. https://www.fcpeuro.com/BMW-parts/32...s=diff%20fluid

Thank God I got a 2016 cause the 2015 and earlier of this gen have chain guides that fall apart, trashing the engine.

Yessir.... I can go on.... I appreciate my old Dodge.

And this is why I drive older vehicles..... I think I have actually owned only two cars in my entire life, that were built in the same decade I owned them.... One of 'em was an 84 Dodge Conquest that I bought in 89....... Salvage title, so, got it cheap. Had about 80K when I bought it, a little over 250K when the trans finally blew up.

I've had two BMW cars. Never a bike before I quit riding. My '97 528i needed a coolant service. I tossed the service book and just did it. I figured a way to fill it through a bleed hole and saved about an hour over the dealer cost. Boy, have we wandered off topic! More talk about babes please.

I've never owned a BMW, and never will. I rented one once, in Germany, which had about 200 miles on it. While out on the autobahn, passing someone in the left lane, I saw a yellow flash go by between me and the guard rail. Pulled off at the next stop, and found that the left front blinker was gone. Nothing was broken, no sign of damage, didn't hear or feel anything, it was just gone. Swore right then and there that I'd never buy (or rent) another one again. If I want a krautwagen, put me down for a Mercedes. Owned one of those over there, and even though it was a worn out old beater it was mechanically perfect and had the smoothest shifting 4 speed manual I've ever had the pleasure of driving. Just beautiful.

Here you are, just for you, more babes.
