Stays solid at 48.
The truck has the power and security package, power locks, security alarm, etc.

Wonder if you are having an alarm problem? Is there a security light in the dash? Is it doing anything?

There is a security light on the dash. When I turn the key to the on position, the security light turns on, but shuts off after a few seconds.

Ok, that's the way it is supposed to work..... But it still sounds like a security issue.... Do you have a black, or grey key?

That's odd..... With the security system, it should be a gray key..... At least, that's what I thought........ (not like I haven't been wrong before.... )

Ok, going back thru the thread, this is a 5.2, right? If that's the case, I think your one connector you show in the pic, up by the throttle body, appears to be the MAP sensor..... not gonna run real well without that.

So I just checked, map sensor seems to be plugged in.

On the right of the throttle body? No idea. On the left near the alternator? Also no idea lol. I'm at a loss here man. I don't know if it's just me, but these wires look too clean to be a factory unplugged wire, like an ABS wire or something, so I think that might have something to do with the issue, I'm going to see if I can find a wiring diagram that locates these wires and says what they are for.
