Just purchased a 98 dakota slt, 4x4, v6 Experiencing a weird grind at 1 or 2 % throttle. Noise can be sustained by holding throttle, Usually happens while coasting. Cant seem to find anything relative online. Has anyone experienced this or have an idea of what it may be?

 

Can you tell where the sound is coming from??

 

Its a bit hard to tell, definitely sounds like it's coming from the front end. The noise isn't exactly subtle. Hard to give you a more accurate description from the drivers seat. Does not seem to be affected by speed at all only rpm and a very small range. Coasting with light pressure on the pedal produces a constant loud grind
