Default Losing coolant through rad cap

After attempting to do a coolant flush on my 04 Dakota 4.7 I haven’t been able to keep the coolant In the cooling system. After getting frustrated I brought it to Chrysler and got the flush re done there. It worked properly for about 3 days but then got hot on a 15 minutes drive. When I opened the hood it was the exact same site as before; coolant sprayed over everything from the radiator cap. I ended up pouring water in it and it took a full gallon to top it up. I assume this is because there is too much air in the system causing too much pressure, which is forcing the coolant out of the cap. Any recommendations or solutions?

Air wouldn't cause a buildup of pressure, but it can cause you to overheat. Air is compressible, liquid is not. Try replacing your radiator cap. They are a cheap item. If you added tap water, you get to flush all over again due to the minerals in it that will eventually clog your system. If you used distilled water, drain some coolant from the rad and add the same amount of concentrated coolant. You should add coolant and bleed the system with the front raised higher than the rear, so the air bubbles will rise.
