Default Widest wheel

Anyone know what the widest wheel that can fit on a 2nd gen Dakota? My truck is at the shop for its suspension work now, and they want me to order wheels. It's getting an 18 inch diameter 5x4.75 lug pattern, so obviously whatever the stock size or availability is irrelevant. I'm thinking a 12 inch wide wheel will fit, hoping someone can confirm. If not, I'll probably go with 18x10s.

I would think it would be up to the suspension shop to determine wheel size. Its going to depend on space from frame to fender, width of axle, springs, etc. The suspension designer would not only determine tire size, but wheel width, and offset.

No, there's plenty of leeway on this as they're doing a frame replacement for me. I can put whatever width and offset I want on there, but I'd like to know what the widest anyone's been able to run without resorting to bodywork or tubbing. Aside from sitting lower than stock and non-factory wheels, I don't want my truck to have any obvious signs of modification from the outside. I'm thinking 12 inch wheels will fit without issue, but if anyone can confirm it would be great.
