Default Shifting issues.

Okay so I have a 99 Dakota 5.2. I am having trouble diagnosing which part to change. My truck drives perfectly normal sometimes other times rough shifting and gets stuck in second gear. I can turn it off and back on and sometimes that fixed the issue. So I'm wondering if I should replace my sensors on the valve body or is it the tcm. And is it a stand alone tcm or is it tcm/pcm together. Looking at a 5.9 swap and don't want to waste any money so any help would be much appreciated

PCM also does trans duties.

I would change the governor pressure sensor/solenoid, and output speed sensor. That *should* solve the issue.

That's what I was thinking I think I'm just going to replace all solenoids while I got the pan down.
