ABS Module

Hi Guys

I have a 98 Dodge dakota, 5.2, Auto, 150K miles, 4x4, rear wheels anti lock

I’m having issues w/ABS module activating my brake light and ABS light

I sent module out to Module master and they fixed it and worked fir about a year and now acting up again. Sent it back to module master and they said the speed sensor area of module was corroded and unable to repair.

I ordered a used module off E-bay and plugged it in and now have a mismatch vin.

My question is is there anyway to reprogram the vin into another ABS module?? Is the solution to get get a PCM and ABS module out of a donor vehicle and install it????

SRS wants the same vin as well.

I suspect you are going to need the dealer specific scan tool to flash the correct vin to the ABS module...... Either that, or talk to Module Master, and see if they can do that for you.... I doubt any local shops (aside from the dealer) will be able to do it.
