Default Tight Steering

Hey Y’all,

Im a new member. Been driver this 04 Dak for six years. Just replaced the rack and pinion and power steering pump. During the test run, driving straight is fairly normal, but turning feels like there is no power steering. Primed it before I dropped it by turning the wheel back and forth several times. No leaks, reservoir is full. Hasn’t been aligned yet. Appreciate Y’all’s thoughts boys?

Does the pump make any noise when you try and turn?

I hope you didn't use an old rack and steering pump from a junk yard.
