Filled up at lunch, 17.8 mpg over 230+ miles to & from work with minimal side trips. I think that is a personal best in this truck driving to & from work.
Been thinking about the best way to implement the vanes in the intake tube and I think I have a good solution... going to see if I can get it done this afternoon.

Did the vane build/install into the Airaid intake tube and put 140 miles on it before filling up for the commute week... that 140 miles I expect fuel trims are going to get re-dialed in as the miles add up, no idea how long that would take. The 140 miles was a mixed bag of miles with it being approx 75% hiway and included some test miles in there where I was not kind to the throttle, that tank came in at 17.6 mpg and included a light haul of some bricks (approx 400#) for 20ish miles or so.
On the way into work cruising up the 2 mile "grade" (probably 300~400' climb), I am seeing better acceleration in 5th gear, no downshift and yet gained ~5 mph (all I asked of it) while passing semi's. Previously it would downshift into 3rd to get the job done. The gain is not earth shattering but it is noticeable and there. In comparison the Ram with its turbo really liked the 2nd vane install.
there will be a version 2.0 of this and will shift over to sheet metal with 2 vanes.
