Dang, 10 months , considering doing this again with OEM part.
... and the rear gear oil .
But I can't seem to find one, or even a part #...
any help or link , thanks

Part number 04384226 is the 8.25 tone ring, 04384227 is the 9.25 tone ring.

But that's interesting that the parts book never shows the tone ring or sensor in diagram for either rear axle. the tone ring is listed as part number 28 at least.

I did some google digging and found multiple numbers then searched my PDF for them.

what's weird is Mopar part sites list 56028187 Ae or Ad , which is fine until you check into the 'will this part fit your vehicle' and I enter 1997 Dakota and they say No.
Fits '99-'05 Dakota, Durango, Ram blah... No logical reason to think anything changed from '97 the first year of this gen. to '99 ?

Sometimes, the only thing that changes is the shape of the connector.....
