Default Aluminum driveshaft

Were there any year CC/QC models that had one?

Noticed a steel driveshaft under there the other day, yeah that is not going to stay in there. (rotational mass reduction)

Yes, 2003-2004 for sure (mine has one). Maybe before that too.

Roger that... web info was spotty on it with the search I did. I have one in the Ram that was made by a shop in TX, the dyno'd it up over 1000 ft tq IIRC so no concerns running one on the Dak. If I can find a OEM one I'll snag it.

Easy junkyard find. I've seen them laying around after people pull rear ends/trannys.

Hoping it is an easy find around here... have not been to the local pick & pull yet to poke around to see whats out there.. (still am interested in going to a NP242 setup, just because I prefer to have direct control over the t-case)

I have the aluminum CC driveshaft out of my truck laying under the shop shelves.

Too bad I'm in Tx and you're in Washington.
