Wheels to fit on a 2001 4x4 Dakota that can take LT tires
Hi all,
New member here.
I have a 2001 4x4 Dakota that I need to put a 10 ply sidewall tire on (LT tire) but they don't make these tires for a Dakota rim. My next thought would be to take a Dodge 1500 wheel and put that on my Dakota because they make these tires for all the truck series trucks. In all my research I'm finding that the 2nd gen trucks have an extremely rare lug pattern and don't match up well with many other vehicles. And also going too big will end up with tire rub. I've read that there are a few wheels off other vehicles other than a Dodge vehicle which might also fit, but upon further reading find contrary articles that debunk this info. Instead of banging my head against a wall, I thought I'd find out from potentially those who may have a lot more knowledge than me, hence why I'm here. Has anyone had this issue and how did you overcome it?
Any information or insight would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Woody
