Thanks appreciate the insight. This is for personal use and not commercial. I have a property that I would be using it for to clear the driveway so it wouldn;t be a great deal of use. I like the poly idea

I Had a 7-foot Curtis poly plow on a 04 Dakota and it handled to weight with no problem. I would definitely go with a poly plow; the weight of a metal plow might just be a little too much for the truck. I was amazed how well the Dakota pushed the snow. In fact, I just got done installing the plow on another 04 Dakota that I picked up.

Joel,

Since last posted this I did a lot of research. What I found was that supposedly the poly plows are actually heavier than the steel ones as the ribs are heavier duty than the ribs on the metal plows as the poly ones need the extra support. I couldn't find an exact amount of weight difference and wonder if it's even substantial enough to even be worth worrying about. I do appreciate the feedback that the truck handled the weight so well.
