Question Quick update p1698 code

So I got back from school yesterday and I decided to take a look at the engine bay, I was looking at the TCM as I know the PCM works but the TCM does not communicate so for some reason I decide to smack the harness with a hammer and the top three tail lights for the bed now work.?

At the connector on the PCM there's a pair of twisted wires for the communication between PCM and TCM ( CCD signal ).
Pin number 4 is a White/Black wire this is the CCD-Bus - connection.
Pin number 43 is a Purple/Brown wire this is the CCD + connection.
The ground is wired in the TCM.
There are 4 grounds at the TCM.
Pin number 37,39 and 57 are grounds for the TCM and are Black/Yellow wires.
Pin number 53 is a ground also and has a Black/Red wire.

See if you can follow the 4 ground wires and make sure they have a good/clean connection to the frame.

Am not gonna try to help you with the "top three taillights of the bed" don't think this is related, and be carefull what to do with a hammer....

Default Figured the code out

So had to make a new account couldn't get into the old one
but it was the ignition switch I changed the automatic has three plug ins and at the time I picked the manual switch which only has two plugs
Which was causing no communication between the PCM and TCM hope this helps anyone going through this issue

Default Help

I have a 2002 with the 4.7 and a 545rfe controller is there anyway to fix this my truck won’t have the bubble around p for park or n for neutral and that makes it not be able to start some time it’s fixed by jiggling the shifter or tapping the sensor in the pic and then it will eventually appear I’d love to fix this

That's going to be a linkage adjustment, or the Park/Neutral switch.
