How would I know? is there a similar wheel speed sensor on the front ?

Interestingly I went to have the codes wiped out and the abs / brake light popped off for about 10 seconds. I was briefy happy.

In addition a put a new speed sensor in the transmisison and now it wont shift correctly. Gee whiz!

A good reader that reads ABS should tell you if you have a bad sensor. There is usually a sensor at each wheel on 4 wheel ABS.

Were you getting a obd2[ not abs] speed sensor code? If not ,put the original back after cleaning up the end.

The abs tester will specify which one may be bad.It will know if you have 2 or 4 on testing.
