Had the front passenger side CV axle swapped out on the 4x4 Sport. Been having a shimmy/shake driving it around lately. Found tranny side of CV slightly pulled out (not fully locked into proper place) and not all the way in. Can pull it back far enough to see retainer ring/clip. It looks old/rusty and I am guessing the mechanic never put a new clip/retainer on the shaft when swapping the CV out. CV will also not stay where it should be. If it's any help, truck manufacture date is 11/00. I know that Dodge did a design change on the CV's in that model year and not sure if that has any bearing on the problem.
