Published manuals
I was thinking about getting a manual to have references on my truck. Its been a while since Ive had any vehicle manuals.
The only way long ago to get a manual with either Haynes or Chiltons at the parts store. Either of those adequate for a Dakota?

No. Cars/trucks have become a LOT more complicated since the good ol' days. You want a real, factory service manual. The paper books are friggin' expensive, heavy, and take up a fair bit of space, but, you can get 'em in digital format, (pdf) which makes it a bit more convenient. That, and the wiring diagrams, etc, actually reflect what you see on the truck, not just some generic diagrams, that look nothing like what is actually there.
Notepad comes with windows.
