Hard shift to drive, no power in 4x4 lo after front driveshaft replacement
Hi everyone.
This is the first time i am posting, and technically I am asking for a friend, so bare with me.
We are taking about a 2003 4.7L v8 dakota.
So a few days ago, the CV joint on the front driveshaft decided to give up on the truck and the front driveshaft broke off and also damages the shifter cable. During that time, the shifter dont respond and cant get pass 80km without high rpm.
We manage to get an used driveshaft assembly and shifter cable and installed everything. Truck is driving, however we notice that whenever we shift into "D", it jerks hard but everything else seems to drive fine in 2x2 or 4x4 high. However in 4x4 lo, the vehicle dont seems to want to move, like have to rev to 4k rpm to just get it to move 10km/h.
What do you think could cause those 2 issue? Before the front driveshaft been replaced, it didnt have those 2 issue.
On a different question (maybe better to separate it into a different topic) something during idle the low oil light comes on and the idle become very rough (like choking), but dip stick shows it fulls.. What may that be?
