Swap 5.9 to 3.9

be a 00 Dak manual . And a 01 dran. AutoI need to know what I need to do to to drop the 3.9 where the 5.9 is .. I know I know. But I'm broke and I have this to work with. My question. Really. Is will I need a feff. Flex plate or is it possible to use the 5.9 one ?? I'm thinking that's the only part I may need to get ?? And computer ?? 8 to 6 . Will the comp. Need prog.??

Definitely need a different flex plate. The 5.9 is externally balanced... 3.9 is not.
Will have to have the computer re-programmed for the 3.9. Crank sensor signal is different, and there are two less cylinders..... V-8 programming won't run the six at all. You might be better off finding another 5.9 to drop in there, probably end up being cheaper.......
