Trying to help my son with a torsion bar replacement on a 2002 dodge dakota sxt 4x4 3.9 v6 on the driver , looks like i could possibly tap it out if i lower the key and lightly pry down on rear and tap out from front, am i correct on this or do i need to pull the lower control arm

The 2002 model year Dakotas are 2nd Generation trucks. You will probably get better answers asking this question on the 2nd Gen forum.
