5.9 magnum cam bearings.
So I'm almost done with my top end rebuild. Just need to put new cam bearings in. I have a lisle 18000 bearing tool that I hope to use for the job. Any tips for getting them in without damaging them? Are they pretty good about not spinning while putting them in?
Also the cam was flattened and the bearings destroyed, but everything else was suspiciously good. Anything I should be on the watch for as the source of the localized damage or is this just the part of the engine that tends to fail first? 280k miles on it and all original so I'm not surprised to find worn out stuff.
