Thanks. I’ll likely see if I can find an OEM sensor. But which is the most effective pcm reset?

I just disconnect the battery, turn on the headlights, turn off headlights, hook battery back up, turn ignition to 'on', (not start) count to ten, (don't touch anything) THEN start the truck. It usually figures things out fairly quickly.

so, it been a while but nothing i’ve tried has worked. all three sensors, original and two (2) aftermarket ones (different brands) all read the same voltage (.5 closed and 3.6v WOT). i’ve since run a scanner on it and live data shows throttle at idle is 10.2~11% and 74% at WOT. i replaced the battery as it was old and failed a load test - no difference. after replacing the battery the P0121 code has not returned but car is still running super rough. i’m not driving it.

More than one problem then. Is it setting any other codes? Really need a decent scanner than can read live data, have a look at misfire counters, see which cylinders are misbehaving.

I cannot find an OEM tps sensor as they’ve been discontinued.

So, my scanner doesn’t show a misfire log in live data as the truck is too old for that. But it does monitor for misfires and it’s not found any to throw any codes for them. The only code it serves up is P0121.

I swapped out the coil packs just to do, and no difference. I also checked the injectors and all appear to be clicking away.

Is that code setting again after the reset,

Ur better off trying a used OEM tps than a new aftermarket one.But of coarse a new OEM is best- but online likely
