Rear Block Lift on 4x4
if it was my truck i wouldnt do it....it changes the pitch of your drive shaft and could cause your U joint to ware. and when your u joint brakes that could cause whats call the "pole volt effect"
no pole vaulting, the drive shaft isnt that strong, but ur truck would be pretty much ruined........blocks also ruin the ride.
On MythBusters they tested this pole vault theory, and all the happened was the nice hole in the trunk, and the rear end was not fixable.

Instead of putting longer springs (more arc) for lifting, you put a block. Not the best way to do it.

But yea I would avoid the blocks. My dad has had many lifted SUVs and Pick ups, so I would trust his opinion. thats y when I decide to lift my truck it will probably be w/ a suspension lift setup.
