Replacing the radiator was easy. That took all of maybe 40 minutes.

You can do that and form a loop between the incoming and outgoing heater lines on the engine. Doesn't even matter if it kinks.

Wait, it doesn't matter if it kinks? if it kinks won't that block off the the fluid from running or will the pressure open the kink up? And if that's the case I'll just use one of the hoses that's already on. It won't have to spend any money.

Doesn't matter if if flows or not. So long as it doesn't leak. Some trucks have a valve that shut off flow to the heater core. Its just not a big deal.

The heater core is a side circuit for coolant flow off the engine. If flow stops to the heater core, it doesn't matter.

Well anyway the mission was complete. It seems to have worked even with the kink and there is a bit of a kink in it. But I sat here and ran the truck for 15 minutes. Just idling with the air conditioning on

Is the drain on the firewall dripping water? If that drain is stopped up, the condensate will drip on the floorboard. It will be clear water and NOT smell sweet. You can reach from above and play with it a bit and see of a gush of water comes out. If that's the case, you might still have a good heater core. If it greenish or smells sweet, your core is bad. If you aren't seeing water underneath, it's going into your floor.

No my floor was saturated with water. It wasn't just wet, it was soaked.
