Default 99 dakota crank/no start

I have a 99 dakota 3.9l and I am at the end of my ropes with it. I have spark at the coil but not at the plugs. I have replaced crank and cam sensor, rotor, cap, and plugs. I have pinned the pcm it has all 5v and grounds I'm just lost. Any and all ideas would be extremely helpful thanks

Are you getting spark from the coil WIRE at the distributor?

yes I checked spark on both ends of the coil wire. When I was checking crank sensor signal I was only getting a .8 Volt reference instead of 5 while cranking, but on the coil pickup reference it stays a 5 volts.

I have had distributor caps where the center contact failed....... If you are getting spark thru the coil wire, but, not at the plugs.... something to look at.

I'll pull it off and check. I'm starting to doubt I put the rotor in anyway at this point lol. Thanks for the advice I'll update when I do and let you know what I find.

Yeah, if ya missed installing the rotor, it most certainly will not run.

Got an ohm meter, test resistance from inside the cap, to outside where the coil feeds power. Should be zero.

ok just to be sure you mean from the button on the inside and where the coil wire connects on top? If so the reading is .0045 on the new cap and .0023 on he old cap

That's odd..... That's close enough to zero. (and yes, from inside the tower the coil wire goes into, to the contact on the inside, that rides on the rotor)

But, if you are getting spark TO the cap, but nothing out of it, I would still be real tempted to just swap 'em out with a good quality brass terminal cap/rotor.
