Default 2003 Dakota P1389 Code and wont start

I got a 2003 dodge dakota that just suddenly threw a P1389 code "No ASD Relay output voltage at PCM" and won't start. Tried ether and checked the spark and narrowed it down to definitely being an electrical issue.

I checked the usual suspects, being the relays (nothing labeled ASD so I just randomly swapped them around, and I had to go to work so haven't had time to check them with an ohm meter yet.) Also checked all the fuses and none of them are blown and they're all seated properly.

Where do I start, how do I determine if it's the PCM or something else, and how do I make sure I don't fry the PCM if it's not bad?

ASD relay should be in the power distribution box under the hood. Might be called "Auto Shutdown Relay".....

Does the fuel pump prime when you turn the key on??

Check fuse 2 (20amp) in the PDC, also have a look at fuse 11.....

Looks like the PCM is expecting to see voltage on Connector 3, pin 3. Verify you are getting power OUT of the ASD relay on pin 85... of course, you will only see power there for a few seconds at key on, due to the way the system works.....

where can I get a wiring diagram that tells me where all that is - pin 85, fuse 11, etc?

Try here. Keep in mind, the stuff you are looking for is spread over at least two pages..... They are fun to follow.....

Both fuses should be in the PDC under the hood though, and there should be a diagram on the underside of the cover? That tells you who is what for the fuses/relays.

Thank you!
Holy crap that looks like one hell of an adventure, and it just snowed a few inches so I guess I'll dry it out and prepare for a pain in the *** project.
